The program is 45 minutes, but plan on 2 to 3 hours once you add the early arrival, the film and the galleries.

What does a half day with the Arizona and the Missouri look like?
Take a morning Arizona time, then the shuttle to Ford Island, and you are done by early afternoon.
Sample timings, not an official schedule:
- 7:00 AM: the Visitor Center opens; arrive an hour before your program.
- 8:00 AM: the first Arizona program (45 minutes).
- 9:00 AM: the film and the galleries.
- 10:00 AM: the shuttle to Ford Island (allow about 30 minutes).
- 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: the Missouri, including the 35-minute guided tour.
- 12:30 PM: the shuttle back to the Visitor Center.

Allow 6 to 8 hours, keep moving, and save the aviation museum for the afternoon.
The Bowfin opens at 7 AM (last entry 4:15 PM), the Missouri at 8 AM and the aviation museum at 9 AM. A workable order is the Arizona, the Bowfin, then the shuttle to the Missouri and on to the aviation museum. The shuttle serves the Missouri until 4:05 PM, so check the last times at the Visitor Center. One guest's advice: plan your time and do not spend too long in one place.
What is the best time of day to visit?
Morning: the first boats leave at 8 AM, and an early program leaves time for everything else.
A morning Arizona time means the Missouri and the museums are all still ahead of you. The last Arizona boat is at 3:30 PM, which only works if the Arizona is all you want.

Every child needs their own Arizona reservation, including infants over the age of 1; strollers are not allowed on the boat; and children under 4 cannot board the Bowfin.
On the Missouri, children 4 to 12 pay $19.99 and under-4s go free; the Captain's and Chief Engineer's tours are for ages 10 and up. There are no restrooms on the Arizona boat or the memorial. With young children, the Arizona plus the Missouri is usually plenty for one day.
How busy is Pearl Harbor around December 7?
Very: December 7, 2026 is the 85th anniversary, so expect crowds, ceremonies and schedule changes that week.
On December 7 itself, parking is free and there are no bag fees until 10 AM. The premium small-group tour does not run on December 7, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day. The Visitor Center is also closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
Is a 5-hour tour long enough?
For the Arizona, yes; for more than that, no. Some guests felt 5-hour tours were too short to see all of Pearl Harbor.
